Summary:
This position performs the duties of a Maintenance Technician. Location:
Geary County USD 475 School District Shift :
Monday thru Friday 10AM-6:
30PM or Monday thru Friday 7AM-3:
30PMBackground Check Required Driving History Required Qualifications o High school diploma or GED equivalent o Two years of experience in Building Trades o Ability to communicate effectively o Ability to work from a ladder and/or a lift o Ability to respond to emergency service calls outside regularly scheduled work hours o Ability to work various shifts as assigned o Valid driver's license and clean driving record o The ability to move and/or maneuver materials weighing as much as 50 pounds as well as other hazards associated with physical work to maintain and repair buildings and equipment o Demonstrated expertise in skill sets associated with Building Trades o Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems o Experience with a Building Automation System (BAS) o Background Check Required o Driving History Required Responsibilities o Position
Summary:
This position performs the duties of a Maintenance Technician o Work assignments for this position may include any or all the following plus other duties as assigned o Work with and assist engineers, contractors and consultants who evaluate safety controls and building systems operations for maintenance, expansion and/or repair by explaining company and district practices and/or providing information regarding company and district procedures o Inspect buildings; plumbing, electrical and HVAC equipment and systems and report identified deficiencies o Perform maintenance and repair work on buildings and mechanical systems as assigned from inspections or Computerized Maintenance Management System work orders o Inspecting and testing air compressor, grease traps, sewer pumps and other systems and equipment o Repairing and/or replacing ceiling tiles, floor tile, cove base, lamps, ballasts, doors, locks and other building materials o Patching and painting interior walls and surfaces o Clearing sewage blockages and drain lines o Clean roof drains o Troubleshooting systems and equipment o Maintain and repair custodial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and other electrical equipment o Record completed repairs using Computerized Maintenance Management System or other company and/or district software o Recommend work process improvements to Facilities supervisors and administrators o Check space temperatures and equipment operation via building automation systems (BAS) o Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work area o Provide service support for campus events o Snow removal duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr Recommended Skills Communication Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Electrical Installation Work Hvac Maintenance Mechanical Systems Apply to this job.
